About our name:  Apothic is based on the word Apothecary;From Old French apotecaire, from Medieval Latin apothecarius (“storekeeper”), from apotheca(“shop, store”), earlier Latin apotheca (“repository, storehouse, warehouse”), from Ancient Greekἀποθήκη (apothēkē, “a repository, storehouse”).

Note also that remedies, or Elixirs as they were often called, purchased at an apothecary were often a mixture of herbs ground down and bottled in an alcohol base.  Hence, our own Premium Elixir's will always be Alcohol flavors which are quite difficult to reproduce without using actual alcohol and sweetener.  I'm sure you will find we did just fine without either of those ingredients
